Student View: A New Focus for our 2014 Digital Learning Day Photo Challenge

Welcome back to the Digital Learning Day Photo Challenge! Last year we asked participants to tag photos with descriptive hashtags that highlighted specific aspects of digital learning. This year we are taking a new focus.

We are asking that Indiana students be the contributors in the challenge and include the hashtag #INStudentPC (Indiana Student Photo Challenge) with their posts. Since social media guidelines exclude users under 13, we encourage teachers and parents of elementary students who wish to participate to post using classroom or school profiles when possible.

As we get closer to February 5th, Digital Learning Day, check back for more details. We will be posting Guidelines for Participation to encourage and support responsible digital citizenship in the challenge.

Photos that are shared on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #INStudentPC will appear as posts on this blog.

During the month of February, we encourage Indiana educators, students and parents to capture digital images that depict Digital Learning. Digital Learning is any instructional practice that is effectively using technology to strengthen the student learning experience.

To be a part of the challenge, participants will post the images to Twitter. Tweets should include #IN28DLD and at least one of the descriptor hashtags provided (see image).
